Ergonomics is a scientific study of relationship between man and his working environment. Physical agents are forms of energy that can harm the body when exposure takes place. Physical working capacity diminishes with age and sex. In the same age and sex group also, there are individual variations due to the weight, nutrition etc. Experiment were conducted with five dependent variables viz., body temperature, blood pressure, heart rate, noise and vibration level, and three independent variables viz., tillage implement, operator age group and field conditions. The tractor operator having age group of 21-30 years was found minimum physiological changes as compared to 31-40 and 41-50 years age in all tillage operations. In wet field conditions the change in physiological responses and the effect of noise and vibration on tractor operator were minimum as compared to dry field conditions.Keywords

The shape and size of seed plate orifice were decided on the basis of the dimensions of the different seeds. For all the seeds, the shape of the seed plate orifice showed its effect upon the planting accuracy. For cotton, groundnut and sesame seeds, best results were found with elliptical shaped orifice, with longer and shorter axis (5, 4.50), (3, 2.50) and (1.50, 1) mm, respectively. Whereas, for okra seed, the optimum seed plate orifice shape was circular with 3 mm diameter. For positive release of the sesame seed, air velocity of 3 m/s through chamber open to atmosphere showed best results.Keywords

Rice (Oryza sativa L.) is an important crop which is being cultivated most extensively through the world and is considered as staple food crop of more than 60 per cent of world's population. In India weed control is one of the major problems in rice cultivation according for a major share in the cost of cultivation. About 60 per cent of the cost of cultivation of the Kharif crops goes in weed control alone. The cost of weeding can be substantially reduce by Introducing improve weeding tools. Six serrated blades were fixed on bush drum, shaft of diameter 2.5 cm with axle of 1.1 cm diameter. The blades was fixed with three different angels on the bush drum in different weeder, was 10°, 15° and straight. Its performance was compared with conventional manual weeding. Using it in wet field condition the field capacity of 80 to 85 per cent during the operation. It was found that weeder with straight blade angles gave highest weeding efficiency other than two weeding methods.Keywords

This study was conducted for the Arang watershed of the Chhattisgarh, India. Several geomorphological parameters of the watershed were determined using standard procedure. The Arang is 3rd order watershed and comprises of 10 villages. Predominant soil of the watershed is clay loam. The watershed receives an average annual rainfall of 1400 mm, out of which the monsoon season (June to October) contributes more than 85 per cent rainfall. The number of 1st, 2nd and 3rd Order were found to be 20, 4, 1, respectively. The different geomorphometric parameters of watershed were determined and result showed that total length of stream segments were 26.14, 9.37, 8.56 km, respectively. Area of sub-basin for 1st, 2nd and 3rd order streams and of different order streams were to be 32.35, 43.94, and 54.50 km2, respectively, for 1st, 2nd and 3rd order streams. The mean bifurcation ratio for the watershed was found to be 4.64. The length ratio, circularity ratio and elongation ratio for the Arang watershed were determined and found to be 2.724, 0.9148 and 0.973, respectively. The hypsometric integral of the watershed was calculated to be 0.998 km. The drainage density, length of over land flow and constant of channel maintenance of the watershed were found to be 0.808 km/km2, 0.618 km and 1.237 km, respectively. The main channel slope of the watershed was 0.005 whereas compactness co-efficient of the watershed was 1.093. The stream frequency, basin shape factor, form factor, and ruggedness number of the watershed were 0.458 km2, 2.578, 0.387, 0701 and 0.016, respectively. The values of relative relief and relative ratio of the watershed was found to be 1.452×10-3 and 1.687×10-3, respectively. The weighted average slope of the entire watershed was found to be 1.5 per cent. This parameter which indicates that topography of watershed is flat.Keywords

Based on the experimentation, it is found in this project that the Solar panel provides 17V, 1A during day time between 9.30 AM to 4.30 PM. Since the pesticide sprayers are used in this duration, testing is as carried out in this time. The 12V, 8Ah battery can be charged fully in 7 hours during this time at 1.3A. Hence, this module can be operated to spray continuously 7 to 8 hour which is not possible with electrical pesticide sprayer. The model cost will not exceed Rs. 7000. Hence, the proposed model is cost effective and compatible with other models available commercially.Keywords
